Cyclists call in at the Creamery Can

The Creamery Can in Glarryford, Ballymena has become a popular spot for passing cyclists. We love when customers call in and know that these cyclists deserve a great meal to keep them going on their long cycle rides. We have lots of room for cyclists to stop and leave their bicycles down and plenty of soft cosy seating inside to give our cyclists a break from our Northern Ireland weather.

Our Interior inspiration at the Creamery Can

At the Creamery Can in Glarryford outside Ballymena we wanted to create an environment where the atmosphere was relaxed and informal with a touch of creativity!

We celebrate natural materials such as the oak beams and the beautiful natural stone. The bespoke doors and windows add finesse and we love the special tall Georgian window which takes your eye all the way up to the skyline and floods the shop with natural light. It’s a place to savour the atmosphere.

We designed the decor and we are really chuffed when folks comment on the beautiful paint colours or the feature wallpaper.

Our novelty ‘spool’ tables were already on the farm from previous electrical work carried out. Even the blue pantry cupboard was in the farmhouse originally when they bought the place over 20 years ago. Little did we imagine then that one day it would take pride of place in our lovely coffee shop!

Call in with us to enjoy our food, drinks and beautiful setting. The Creamery Can is just outside Ballymena on Station Road in Glarryford.

Creamery Can working with local butcher

We know here at the Creamery Can we spend lots of time talking about our caramel squares, cakes and yummy treats but we know that lots of our customers prefer our savoury snacks and meals. It is important for local businesses to support each other and that is why we at the Creamery Can work with local butcher Tom Ferguson. That means that our bacon, sausages and ham come from just a few miles down the road.

One of the best things about working with Tom is that he makes our sausages himself. Hugh from the Creamery Can has been able to go and meet with Tom and discuss exactly what we want in our sausages. When you order a fry, each sausage has been designed to Hugh’s very own specifications to make sure it has a high pork content and is a unique high quality product.

So when you get your breakfast, lunch or any savoury snack at the Creamery Can you are you aren’t just enjoying a unique view – you are also getting the benefit of local expertise and excellent produce. We love working with local businesses and producers – that is what makes the Creamery Can so special.

Creamery Can – Glarryford

Here at the Creamery Can in Glarryford, Ballymena we have been baking, making tea, coffee and serving food and ice cream overtime to keep up with all our great customers who have come in and supported us. We have loved our first few months in the Creamery Can and want to thank all the customer who have visited us so far.

If you haven’t been out yet then this is a flavour of what’s been on offer!

Our Black Forest terrine with fresh cream and black cherries was enjoyed by lots of customers. Also look out for our Great British Bake Off inspired treats. We love the BBC1 show so much that we recreated their first ‘signature bake’ – the cherry cake ring! It was a winner. And finally after all of our over indulging on cakes and ice cream we decided to opt for a very healthy and tasty energy boost! Homemade granola with pecans, cranberries and maple syrup, topped off with natural yogurt is the perfect start to any day whether you are working or enjoying a day off!

See the main Creamery Can menu here and pick out what you would like to try, but keep an eye out for our specials too! We are open 9am to 5pm on Monday to Saturday and we would love to see you call over. Find us at the Creamery Can, Dundermot House, 30 Station Road, Glarryford outside Ballymena.

We are a family business – run by a family to create a wider family of customers who, like us, believe in quality ingredients and home made goodness. The dream has always been to re-create what happens any day round the Reid family kitchen table with friends and family. Where the aroma of freshly baked scones or savoury dishes is common place. A sense of hearth and home. A place where folk can gather and share good food and good conversation.

Of course this takes time and effort but we believe it’s worth it!
